  Local JW's a little slack in their preaching efforts?

  so, i'm sitting at my desk one morning, about a week ago.

  the desk is right beside my sliding glass door in my new ground floor suite.

  the drapes are wide open and i'm sitting in full view of anyone coming up the driveway.

  I Sang In the Back Up Choir With Rachel Landrecht!

  earlier this year i joined a gospel and world music choir.

  i performed in my first christmas concert in a church no less!

  that's a long road away from being born into the jw's.

  Opinion poll: Is it wrong for grandparents to buy presents for all but one?

  my parents (jw's) have 4 small grandchildren between the ages of 5 and 8. they recently went on a trip and brought back presents for 3 of the kids but left out one because they "didn't have time to find anything".

  my sister was very upset and refused to accept the present for her daughter if they had nothing for her son.

  my parents thought she was making a big deal out of nothing and since gifts are voluntary, technically, they don't have to buy them for any of the kids and can do so as they choose.

  New Book About How Beliefs Are Formed and Spiritual Healing

  a friend of mine has just published a new book, called "the silken thread".

  it's not specifically about jehovah's witnesses but discusses how we are conditioned in childhood towards certain beliefs and making meanings as well as how to heal from a painful childhood and pursue a truly spiritual path.

  i highly recommend this to any ex-jw's who are struggling and finding it difficult to leave behind the powerful mind conditioning of the wtbts.. here's a link to the publisher's page in case any one is interested in ordering it online.

  a jw friend of mine who used to be very close to me just sent me a link to this video made by some dubs.

  she knows i'm inactive but hasn't said a word about it to me.

  do you think she is trying to send me a not too subtle message with this video?.
